Music Ecards

In the past, the most special card we could send and receive was a music card. We savored the moment when we would open that distinctive card with the Happy Birthday song playing or that Christmas card playing Silent Night, Jingle Bells, Winter Wonderland and so on. Fast forward to the present with all the high technology and the Internet â€" now we have so many kinds of music Ecards available online. What’s more, the music Ecards don’t just play the usual birthday song and common Christmas jingles anymore. They also carry music like love songs, rock and roll, dance, pop, rap, the blues, country, jazz, reggae and folk. The music birthday card plays the birthday song in different tempos, depending on the content of the card (slower rhythm for serious cards and faster for funny ones). A music E-card will truly add to the jubilation of the birthday celebrant. Music E-cards about love play sentimental songs couples will truly appreciate. Not just for the mushy ones, music E-cards also play rock and roll tunes. These are typically chosen by the young personalities to send to their friends. Whether you are really into actual rock and roll music or not, the beat will definitely up your tempo and brighten up your day. The same goes for music E-cards playing dance tunes and rap songs. Music E-cards playing pop songs are selected by young individuals as well. The contemporary music, whether mellow or fast, will please the recipient especially if the song and artist/ band are his favorites at the moment. Songs made popular by boy bands, Christina Aguilera, Madonna, and other popular musicians are available. Interestingly, there are also music E-cards that play the blues, country songs and jazz. It is enjoyable to receive these especially if you are into that kind of music. Music E-cards that play reggae music are relaxing, reminiscent of the beach and its laid-back ambiance. Music E-cards that play folk music are ideal during celebrations of local events. Ecards provides detailed information on Ecards, Free Ecards, Free Animated Ecards, Music Ecards and more. Microsoft Vista Certification Exams Announced

Microsoft Vista certification is on the way, and Microsoft recently announced the first Vista exams. In keeping with trends in certification, these particular exams are designed for different job roles. These exams are scheduled to be released in \"early 2007\", according to Microsoft s website: MCITP - Microsoft Certified IT Professional - \"Consumer Support Technician\" and \"Enterprise Support Technician\" certifications MCTS - Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist - \"Windows Vista, Configuration\" Unfortunately, there are no blueprints or details available right now detailing the differences between the Consumer Support and Enterprise Support certifications. Those of you who were around when MS went to Server 2000 may remember that MS announced what some considered a hasty end to the NT 4.0 certification. This time around, Microsoft s website makes a point of saying that \"although progressive organizations will adopt Windows Vista immediately, Windows XP will continue to be a driving force in IT for years to come\". MS hasn t announced any further information how Vista will affect XP or Server certifications, but I suspect they won t be quite as fast to stop supporting earlier certifications. Microsoft does make some recommendations to candidates currently working on their MCDST certification. If you re working on that cert, visit the Microsoft Learning website to read more. Even if your organization is happy with their current network operating system, you should still be making long-term plans to get certified in Microsoft Vista. The first step in assuring yourself of a long career in IT is planning to meet changes and challenges along the way. Nothing stays the same, especially in networking! The Lowdown on Windows XP Slowdown

Remember when your system was brand new and you were amazed on how fast it ran. Then over time it gradually slowed down to slow crawl. There are several reasons for this lack of performance which include: viruses, spyware, adware, system memory management. Protecting your computer from viruses is fairly straight forward. If your system connects to the Internet, network, or has access to removable media, you absolutely need anti-virus software running at all times. This program must have up-to-date virus definition; which is basically a list of the most current viruses that gives the anti-virus program a means to identify the threat. Finally, to insure a virus free system a scheduled weekly full system scan that looks at the entire file system for threats is required. To avoid spyware and adware refrain from downloading shareware and freeware program. Also be careful about downloading music. Many music downloads contain spyware. It’s good to have a program that checks for spyware and adware, but it’s better to have an anti-virus program that also checks for these types of threats. That way you are only running one program that does it all. Last but not least to maintain a high level of performance system memory must be managed. Your computer uses two types of system memory, physical memory which is fast and virtual memory which is much slower. Physical memory or RAM (random access memory) is attached to your motherboard. Virtual memory or page file is the amount of hard drive space that is put a side and used when your system runs out of RAM. Windows XP requires a great deal of RAM to run efficiently. Most Windows XP systems are sold with 256MB or even 128MB to keep the cost down. But to run XP with more than one application open you should have 512MB of RAM. To check and see how much RAM your system has, go to Control Panel and click on the System icon. On the General Tab the amount of RAM will be listed. To check and see if your system requires more RAM use Windows Task Manager. To open this utility, press Ctrl Alt Del and then click on the Performance Tab. If the size of the PF usage (virtual memory) is higher than the available memory (RAM), your system will run slow and you need to increase the amount of RAM on your system to increase performance. After determining the amount of RAM is sufficient there are a couple of utilities with Windows XP that should be run on a regular basis to maintain peek performance. These utility programs can be found by going to Start, All Programs, Accessories, and System Tools. First, use Disk Cleanup and remove unnecessary files to increase disk space. Then run Disk Defragmenter to enable data to be accessed faster from the hard drive. Finally, use a registry cleaner like Registry Mechanic. Registry Mechanic is an advanced registry cleaner for Windows that can safely clean, repair and optimize your registry in a few simple mouse clicks. Registry Mechanic can be downloaded from pctools.com. By keeping your system virus, spyware / adware free and properly configured you can assure that you’ll never experience the XP slow down blues. 10 Easy Steps For Speeding up a Slow PC - Part 1

This is part 1 of a 10 part series on tuning up your PC. When you get a new PC you marvel at how fast it runs and handles all your tasks and applications. However, as time rolls on, your PC may start to gradually become slower and slower. Your PC also may bog down abruptly. Either way, there are a few easy steps the average computer user can take to get that PC back to its peak performance. Stop Viruses and Spyware Ensure that you have antivirus and anti-spyware software installed and up to date. Viruses and spyware can not only slow a computer down, they can be a security risk. Windows XP comes with Virus Protection software, but XP does not provide enough protection and a standalone program is best (note: ensure that the Virus Protection in XP is turned on). There are many choices for virus protection software, both commercial and free applications. One popular and effective anti-virus program is AVG. AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 7.5.472 can be downloaded, installed and used for free from download.com. No matter which program you choose, ensure that you keep your software and definitions up-to-date. It is best to use the auto-update option in most programs. Whenever you use your computer to access the Internet, you will eventually receive spyware. Spyware can be harmless or malicious. The first thing is to make sure that you XP Firewall is running. Although not the perfect protection, it does provide some. Make sure that your XP is up-to-date and turn on the Auto-Updates option. Once again, there are many choices for spyware protection. For the home user, there are several free programs that will provide very good protection. One is Ad-Aware and can be downloaded at download.com. The other program is Spybot Search and Destroy at: safer-networking.org Ad-Aware and Spybot can be installed on the same computer and they both can run at the same time. NOTE: Do not install more than one third-party anti-virus program (it is okay to have Windows XP Virus Protection on with another anti-virus program running). As with the anti-virus, keep spyware software up-to-date. If after updating and running your anti-virus and spyware programs, you think that you still have some spyware or virus, run your computer in Safe Mode and run the programs again. The software mentioned above, along with keeping your operating system up to date, will provide reasonable protection from viruses and spyware. Signs of A Cheating Spouse

When I receive a call from someone who thinks their spouse is cheating on them, it s about a 95% chance they are being cheated on. California is a no-fault divorce state, so infidelity really has no affect on a divorce case. Nevertheless, my clients still want that \"Peace of Mind\" by confirming whether their spouse is really having an affair and with whom. So here are the basic signs of a cheating spouse: 1) When your spouse does not tell you where they were for the past 4 hours after leaving work (on an ongoing basis). This is very common among cheaters. They tell you that it s none of your business. 2) Lack of affection shown by your spouse. This is not necessarily a sure sign of a cheater, but if all of sudden, after a healthy love life with your spouse all the passion stops, then you must wonder if there is another person. 3) When they spend less and less time with you and your children. This is the biggest sign of a cheating spouse or at least a spouse who has absolutely no interest in continuing their family relationship to make it stronger. 4) There are the obvious signs: Lipstick on the collar, the odors of someone else s perfume or cologne on their clothing or long blonde hair on the passenger seat of the car. 5) My favorite sign (based on the calls from clients) is condoms in the car. Yes, people are that stupid. Especially when one or both spouses are fixed. Now, there are many lists on the web of \"cheating spouse signs.\" Based on my expertise as an investigator, I do not believe some of these other alleged signs are valid. For example, if your spouse, all of a sudden, wants to wear thong undergarments, that does not mean he/she is having an affair. If your spouse wants to buy better clothes, that does not necessarily mean they are having an affair. I believe communication with your spouse is the most important factor in your relationship in determining whether an affair is taking place. If you truly believe your spouse is having an affair or cheating on you, then most likely it s true. Who Is Your Spouse Having An Affair With? 1) A co-worker or supervisor/boss. This is the most common person a spouse would be having an affair with according to our previous investigation results. 2) Someone they met on the internet. This is a growing trend with the advancements in technology. 3) An old flame from before they were married. 4) Someone they met at the gym where they work out. It could be someone they work out with or even their personal trainer. If you do not have any clue who your spouse may be having an affair with, I suggest hiring a licensed private investigator to follow your spouse. The fees to hire an investigator start about $500 per night to follow your spouse from work or when they go out at night by themselves or with friends. All in all, I hope you do not find your spouse showing any of these cheating signs or actually having an affair. Jay Rosenzweig is a licensed private investigator. He is the owner of California Investigation Services, specializing in domestic and marital investigations . He is also a past president of the California Association of Licensed Investigators.

DVD Duplicators

DVDRs are used for the storage of data, video, audio and more, despite the current compatibility issues with recordable DVDs. The reproduction of DVD optical media via copying is termed as DVD duplication. Content is duplicated to existing recordable DVD media. The term is used as reference to producing discs in small quantities, as opposed to large-scale replication. DVD duplicators are also ideal for short run and time sensitive disc duplication work. The new generation of DVD duplicators that we manufacture is of dual-format so now our customers need not worry about the format and media to be used. Duplication is the standard method in which smaller quantities of DVDs are usually manufactured. The process goes as: first, the DVD is loaded in the burner. Then the information is digitally extracted from the master source (may be a CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD-R, DVD R, or DVD RW) and then it is transferred to the blank discs. The information then gets verified and the disc is accordingly accepted or rejected. The processes extract the information from the master source in ditto same manner. Apart from the way a disc is manufactured, another remarkable difference between a replicated disc and a duplicated disc may be the way a disc is printed. CD and DVD Duplicator helps one to produce copies of one’s music and video CDs and DVDs. It is used for fast, cheap and easiest way to get the product to the market, and helps in creating digital videos easily. It can create 100s of discs in a very less time and is much cheap than expected and is essential for students pursuing a career in music and video field. Ka Band -Affordable Satellite Internet On The Way!

Ka Band VSAT* satellite internet technology has enormous possibilities for telecommuters, rural locations and eventually for Motor Home users around the U.S. - if it works! Ka Band satellite internet is an all new approach to sending and receiving internet traffic from space (satellites used for internet are at least 23,000 miles from Earth). *Very small aperture terminal. The key improvements in Ka band technology from the “blanket” approach used up to now are: 1. Ka Band employs “spot beams” rather than broadcasting over an entire Continent….a far more efficient use of the available bandwidth resulting in lower monthly service cost to end users (as low as $49 per mo.). 2. Ka Band doesn’t require a very large dish (the dish is about the size of a trash can lid) to produce high speed internet in either direction (downloads and uploads are very fast), resulting in a lower equipment cost to consumers. 3. Ka Band uses technology that drastically lowers latency (the “lag” created by data traveling all the way to space and back). When available, Ka band will enable remote teleworkers and consumer users to surf, work and email successfully at speeds approaching DSL and Cable for roughly $450-$650 for equipment and $49.00 to $95.00 per month for service. Users can expect download speeds at roughly 1500 kbps (kilobits per second) and upload speeds from 128-256 kbps, more than enough to handle most any work or leisure scenario. The cost is higher than DSL and Cable but when you can’t get anything but dial-up, the cost might well be worth it for the 20,000,000 or so folks out there with nothing but a phone (if that!). Another benefit of this technology is users will now be able to take advantage of Voice over IP (using the internet to make regular phone calls). Current satellite technology (Direcway and Starband) has too much inherent latency to allow successful VOIP, unless you are willing to say “over” like a walkie-talkie connection, after each sentence! I currently make unlimited calls Nationwide for a flat cost of $25.00 per month and nobody can tell the difference in voice quality. I can call Europe for about $.03 per minute or less! The savings are big, but for some rural homeowners it might be the only telephone service they are able to get. The service will initially be offered by Wild Blue Communications, a Denver based company, owned by several major Media outfits. Two other companies, SES Americom and Echostar have indicated they will join in the fray by next year. They are planning to start offering service sometime in the 2nd Quarter of 2005…….but I don’t expect it to be universally available until late in 2005. I will have monthly updates on the progress they are making at: vsatus.com . If you have been waiting for super fast internet service, your ship might have finally come in! About the Author: Randy Scott has been involved in the bidirectional satellite internet industry from it’s beginning as a Sr. Sales Engineer, consultant and business owner. Randy is the founder of VSAT U.S., a consulting and sales agent, representing the most prestigious satellite internet providers in the U.S. For more information about Ka Band technology or current VSAT satellite internet offerings, visit vsatus.com or email info@vsatus.com .

Communication Barriers: Simplifying the Communication Process

The communication process can be much more difficult than a person thinks. Unfortunately, many times a presenter does not realize that their message is being lost until it is too late and they have gone through an entire meeting/lecture talking away about something that their colleagues/audience thinks is absolutely meaningless. Here are some helpful questions to ask yourself before attempting to relay a message to a large audience. Communication barriers may be categorized as follows: Assumptions about yourself â€" Do I really have something to offer? Is it safe for me to offer suggestions? Do I really want to share the information? Will others really understand? How will the communication affect my self-esteem? Attitudes about the message itself â€" Is the information valuable? Do I see the information correctly or understand it well enough to describe it to others? Is it organized? Am I comfortable with what I am saying? Can I maintain eye contact? Sensing the receiver’s reaction â€" Do I become aware of whether or not the receiver is actually understanding? Or, in other words, can I “sense” from certain cues or reactions by the receiver, whether or not we are communicating? Am I aware of the receiver’s needs? interests? Communication can easily be simplified. All you have to do is know the major causes of communication failures and detect them as they occur. Typically, people involved in communication breakdowns are either (a) utterly unaware that the communication has failed and that misunderstanding has resulted; or (b) painfully aware of a communication blockage â€" or complete breakdown â€" and frustrated by not knowing the reasons why. In either case, people are powerless to handle or remedy the problem. Remember, the expert communicator not only learns to detect communication barriers but also to anticipate them and use an appropriate remedy to overcome them. Comcast Pushes Cable TV Technology Ahead

If you haven t been paying attention to TV technology lately, you ve been missing some pretty impressive developments and the cable TV provider, Comcast, can bring them all to you. One of the most radical advances in TV technology in the past couple of decades- but the one that probably gets the least recognition- is digital TV. With digital TV, the picture and sound of TV are converted into ones and zeros that can be transmitted over a wire or over the air and then converted back into the TV picture and sound by a digital TV tuner. The fact that the signal is all digital makes it very easy for the tuner to separate interference from the actual television signal, and that in turn allows the tuner to clean up the signal and produce a very crisp, clear, and clean picture as well as sound that can then be delivered through the TV. Another benefit of digital TV that Comcast takes advantage of it the fact that when TV programming is delivered digitally, a variety of other information can also be delivered along with it. This information, which is commonly called meta-information, can be used to assemble an on screen program guide and can be used by parental control software to determine whether or not the program is suitable for a household s children. Both of these are features that Comcast offers to its subscribers. The on screen program guide is sure to save time and energy while avoiding the frustration of clicking up and down the channels in order to see what s on and decide what to watch. (This can be a real life saver when you look at the fact that Comcast can offer over two hundred and seventy five channels in its largest programming package.) Comcast s parental control software is just as valuable because it allows you to make the rules about what your children can and can t watch. Once you ve made those rules, the software will then look at the meta-information of the programs that are about to come on the screen and then block any of them that break your rules. This provides real peace of mind for parents everywhere, and best of all it works with teenagers as well as with toddlers. Of course Comcast offers a lot of other types of advanced technology with its digital cable TV service. For example, it also provides HDTV. HDTV is a high resolution, wide screen version of digital TV that was designed to provide a cost effective way to get the same quality viewing experience that you d get in a real movie theater. While HDTV was designed to show movies, it s also very good for enjoying everything from news programming and programming about personal hobbies to sports and educational programming. Video on demand is another cutting edge technology that Comcast can provide for you. Video on demand will allow you to enjoy things like recently released movies through the ON DEMAND pay per view service and special content from some of the best sources of programming through a special subscription service called Premium On Demand. These are just a few of the ways that Comcast Cable provides you with lots of the latest technology.

Buy Computer Hardware

Computer Hardware has developed extremely fast over the past few years. It is important to know what hardware you currently have and what hardware you want if you are upgrading or buying a new computer. Many people lack the knowledge of what hardware is good and what is not, it can be researched easily but the best thing for you to do if you are not computer literate is to ask for help and advice â€" we offer free advice so why not give us a call, we can help you determine if your current system is upgradeable or help you with a brand new system. Having the correct hardware is very important, without the correct hardware or a certain amount of ram you may run into problems when trying to run software. Software cannot run without the hardware which is why hardware can cost more than the Software. Say some software needs 512mb ram to run and you had 512mb ram in your system this means it will run the software but at the bare minimal only and if you try to open anything else with that software open you will notice your computer reduce in speed, no doubt about it. When buying hardware it is important to write a list of what you will be using the Computer for, this will help determine how much ram you need and other things such as processor speed. These days you can get top of the range processors for a great price, processors used to just run on one core but the latest processors are running on 2 cores, this is essentially double the speed and performance of previous processors, Duel Core processors are by far way better performance and speed for the cost. For the price you pay for a Duel Core processor you may as well fork out a few extra pounds to get one, it will benefit you in the long run as you should not need to upgrade or buy a new computer for a long time depending on exactly what you re using the computer for. If you multi-task a lot then you should defiantly get a Duel Core processor, the latest Core2Duo processors from Microsoft are great performance and speed for the price you pay. If you are into gaming then your computer will need to be a top of the range spec. You will need a duel core processor for definite and a lot of ram, possibly a big hard drive if you are a serious gamer. You will defiantly need a good graphics card, you can get the latest graphic cards for great prices, they will run most games at max graphics and performance, the more you pay for a graphics card the better it is going to be. When buying or upgrading a computer you really need to think about what you need it for, if it is for word processing only then you will not need the best hardware, if you need it for gaming or 3D Design packages then you may need to get some of the best hardware available. For example Adobe Photoshop requires much more ram than Microsoft Word. A lot of people don’t realize this but when you purchase a computer you need to take into account the ram that the Operating System will use, and any important software such as Anti Virus products, these also use resources, such as ram. People sometimes buy enough ram to cover their main software such as Microsoft Word and expect it to run fast but they do not take into account the amount of ram the Operating System uses, this is very important, make sure you buy enough Ram to cover this. When buying Ram it is usually best to buy double what you need to make sure you cover what you need any other applications that you open would still run without slowing down your computer. Free Satellite TV On PC

Technology is advancing so fast that now one can watch satellite TV or hear radio on a home PC. All you need is special hardware known as PCTV cards that are of two kinds. One kind needs to be installed in the PC while the other kind is an external box that plugs into the PC’s USB port. There are cards that use the PC’s infrastructure to decode satellite signals and allow users to enjoy free-to-air digital television and radio programs. There are cards that have built-in processors that allow TV viewing in a separate window while the PC runs other programs. Both kinds of cards can be utilized to receive Broadband Internet via Satellite. Requests are made using a telephone line but data is received at 40MB per second via the satellite dish. To view satellite TV on your PC you would require a minimum processor that is Pentium II 333 MHz, an operating system like Microsoft Windows 98/ME/2000/XP, as well as hardware consisting of sound card, spare USB slot, and a CD Rom drive. If you are a computer geek you could in addition to the cards have a Windows media player, real player, or quick time player all of which will take you to the next level of viewership. The options are many. The PC can be directly connected to a satellite dish by using a product like Hauppauge 3000 or through the Internet cable; or via the satellite box (run an aerial lead from the RF output socket of the Shy Digibox to the input aerial socket on a standard PC TV card or USB TV adapter). Direct TV and Dish TV both recommend using a connection via their proprietary satellite TV receiver box as ideal. With a PC-TV-Radio one can simultaneously or alternately watch regular TV, a movie, or sports, and enjoy crystal clear music while writing, checking mail, telewebbing, or surfing the Internet. The options are astounding one can download and record favorite programs, record music, and be creative. Get Organized If You Want To Sell More

“Face adversity promptly and without flinching, and you will reduce its impact.” Churchill Clutter. Technology. Stuff. A full plate. Sales reports. Personal interests. Home life. Career. Relatives. Friends. Too little time. Too much to do. Meetings, meetings and more meetings. The list goes on and on and on. You get 24 hours a day no more no less and time is totally insensitive to how you use the 24 hours you are given each day. One of the traits I have observed in successful salespeople is that they are really organized. Now don’t get me wrong here, if you can win sales awards every year with a cluttered desk â€" great, however how much more might you sell if you had an organized work space? Successful salespeople have the ability to handle a variety of tasks, problems, issues, responsibilities and challenges at the same time. I am talking here about personal management not multi-tasking. If you want to sell more every year you have to get better at something every year. If you spent just ten minutes at the beginning of each day and ten minutes at the end of each day, and don’t tell me you can’t find twenty minutes a day â€" I’ll bet you could make one more sale a week or a year obviously depending on what you sell and your sales cycle. But, the fact remains, organized people are generally more effective and productive. So why not ask yourself â€" could I be more or better organized in some are of my sales career? If so, what are you waiting for? What is getting in your way? And don’t tell me you don’t have the time. It’s not about getting more time but using the time you have more effectively. Here are a few ideas to consider. 1. Each day, week, month and year start with a plan of what you want to do. 2. Prioritize your goals, objectives, tasks, projects, whatever. 3. Stay focused. 4. Get rid of the clutter â€" wherever it is in your life. 5. Concentrate on one thing at a time. 6. Don’t stick with anything that you are not passionate about. Let it go. 7. Have routines for the regular tasks in your life. 8. Get up earlier. Go to be later. 9. Organize your workspace so that you can be more productive. 10. Learn to say no more often 11. Develop the habit of â€"Doing It Now. 12. Don’t make commitments you can’t keep. 13. Respect and value your own time. 14. Play when it is time to play and work when it is time to work. 15. Use technology as a tool not a crutch. 16. Throw stuff away you don’t need, use or want. 17. Use support staff if you have it more effectively. 18. Evaluate your time-wasting habits or routines. 19. Spend 30 minutes a day in some self-development activity. 20. Let go of your bad prospects. This list should give you a few things to think about. Is Protecting Your Company s Data A Lost Cause?

Is Protecting Your Company s Data A Lost Cause? The technologies that make today’s businesses more efficient and effective also make them more vulnerable to threats. Information security can be a constant struggle for corporations as they fight to keep ahead of the ever-changing computer data security hazards. Companies suffer data leaks as a result of anything from a stolen laptop to hackers to stolen paper records. According to the 2006 Cost of Data Breach Study from The Ponemon Institute, data breaches cost companies an average total of $4.7 million, or $182 per customer record. Companies with a poor data protection solution can not only run into legal trouble due to strict data security laws, but when data leaks occur, most corporations can run into image and public relations problems brought on by the scrutiny. So what can you do to make your computer data security more effective? Here are a few actions you can take to make sure your data protection solutions are always in tip-top shape. • Evaluate often. Frequently assess your computer data security’s functionality and find other data protection solutions to cover any vulnerable aspects. Additionally, you should establish a data security policy with frequent audits so your company can keep its security solution up-to-date. • Implement and enforce password policies. Ensure that your employees have strong passwords that include the appropriate amount of letters, numbers and special characters. As part of the system, set parameters that force your employees to change their passwords regularly, as this will help maintain system security. • Watch over your VPN. If you have any employees working from a remote location, keep in mind that these users can collect viruses or malware on their unprotected home computers, which means those threats could eventually skip over your network. So if your employees do work remotely, make sure that they are working from security-protected, company-issued laptops. • Monitor your wireless. After you secure wi-fi access points, you should continue to keep informed of the risks. Some data thieves use a trick called the “evil twin” where they create a fake wireless network that has a name very similar to yours in an effort to trick workers into logging onto this impostor network where it’s possible to get the users’ login information. • Hack your own wireless network. Hire an external auditor to conduct a “penetration test” on your network Though it sounds odd, hacking into your own network gives you a hacker’s view of your network and is probably the most effective way to find out what your data protection solutions may lack. • Always encrypt your data. No matter where the data is being physically stored, using strong cryptography is imperative when protecting sensitive data. • Delete unused data. Collect the data you need and place it in a secure system, but once it is superfluous, make sure you delete it completely. If you pay close attention to your computer data security solutions and see that nothing is slipping through the cracks, you will have a much lower risk of your data getting into the wrong hands â€" saving your company from the consequences of public scrutiny and liability costs. World of Warcraft Gold Guide

Having enough Gold in World of Warcraft is one of the most important aspects of the game. Gold has a major effect on your game play. Gold of course has their common known usage in a mmorpg game which is used to buy and sell items from vendors and other players. In world of Warcraft, gold can be used for training. To learn new skills you are required to pay the trainer a fee. Alot of gold would be required to perfect your character. Here are some tips to help you farm World of Warcraft Gold. Grabbing a profession early in the game can most definitely have its advantage. You are able to level up your profession easily and gain its benefits. 2 professions we highly suggest starting with is mining and skinning. As you kill animals and other creatures in World of Warcraft you can easily skin the animals and sell them to vendors or other players with a nice load sum of profit. You are also leveling your profession as well. While you re out leveling your character I m sure you will kill a numerous amount of mobs that you can skin. The mining profession is another great profession. You will oftenly run into caves which may have some very prosperious mineral ores. Some minerals are very popular in the game and are highly demanded. Questing in World of Warcraft is unlike any other MMORPG released. Quests are one of the biggest advantages you can have in the game. While you re out leveling grab a quest each time you get. Only takes a matter of seconds. Not only will you receive EXP from killing the mobs in the quest but you will also gain additional EXP from completing the quest along with some nice items and money. A great bonus added to help players level faster and get richer of course. Gears in World of Warcraft can get quite expensive. Alot more expensive than just training. From levels 1-40 I highly suggest not investing any money on buying gears or items. Low level characters are not too gear dependent. The quests should be able to provide you just about everything you need. Save the extra gold you have for higher level gears. Certain types of mobs tend to have better drops than others. From what we ve noticed so far, humanoids tend to drop more gold and items than any other creature in the game. So while you re out leveling away, try to kill as many humanoids as you can. The Next Generation Gaming Platforms

The next round of game-platform redesigns may still be four to five years out, but chip and software designers in the areas of wireless, microeletromechanical systems, displays, miniature cameras, sensors, actuators and storage have an opportunity to be part of those multi-100-million shipments as platforms respond faster to user demands by focusing on interactivity, connectivity and information display. Indeed, this may push gaming platforms from peripheral to the center of the home-entertainment system and replace the set-top box with broadband and cable/satellite capability, complemented by fully digital or optical audio and video inputs and outputs and PVR storage. Ever since the latest crop of game platforms began rolling out late last year, improvements and upgrades were already in the works. The Xbox 360 Elite s big improvements over the Xbox 360 were a bigger hard drive and a HDMI connection. Sony also is about to release a PS3 with an 80-Gbyte hard drive, up from 60 Gbytesâ€"and will kill the 20-Gbyte option. The move to online gaming and the ability to download content has been a huge driver of local storage. Nintendo s Wii came with Wi-Fi capability out-of-the-box and while the others support Wi-Fi as a peripheral, SI expects them to have it out of the box soon. With the runaway success of Wii s 6-axis controller technology, MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) is expected to be an increasing part of controller design, as well as for PDAs and other handsets. For wireless, 802.11n is hot. Features that will be common in the next generation of video games include force feedback and rumble capability, motion sensing, vision feedback and high-definition using either Blu-ray or HD-DVD. Also in the future, storage size or hard drive size will increase from Gigabytes to Terabytes. Once the debate on Blu Ray and HD-DVD settles down, video games will be released on one of these mediums instead of the current DVD technology. The quality of video game graphics will also improve as more powerful graphic processors and game engines come out and will allow 100% realism in gaming experience. For displays, super-high-definition systems that are now emerging will come down in time for next-generation boxes, while at the same time gaming and entertainment will converge on one box with DVD, Internet/broadband, storage, set-top box capability and video/audio. Video gaming is helping drive technology and will continue to do so in the future. Log in to my blog after 4 years and see how many of my next gen console predictions come out to be true. Archery Bow Making

If you plan on living in the wild, want to pick up an interesting hobby, or pretend you’re Robin Hood without the merry men, you can always take up archery bow making. It takes some degree of skill to make a good bow, but archery bow making can be very rewarding as well. Imagine taking down a deer or other game using a bow you constructed yourself. You can use many materials when constructing your bow. For instance you can use ash, yew or bamboo wood. The material is up to you, and some will work better than others, but for the purpose of this article we will use yew wood. Here are the steps you need to take in order to construct a bow. First off, you will need a sharp knife and axe, a piece o straight, unflawed yew wood and some kind of string that isn’t to stretchy. Carve the wood so that it looks slightly like a boomerang. Next take the string (rawhide works well) and wax it. This is to protect it from the elements more than anything. Now make some arrows. They have to fit the bow itself, and the arrows usually have fire hardened tips. The arrows should be short enough that they won’t break on contact. Next carve two notches on the end of your finished bow, and loop the string around each end. The string should be tight enough to give it enough power to shoot an arrow a goodly distance. If the string is too loose, or stretchy, it won’t shoot well. You can also devise some kind of handle and nock system, if you so wish. Some people also make composite bows. This is done using more than one type of material and a lot of glue. People usually use horn to reinforce the wood of the bow. A composite bow that is made properly is infinitely better than a normal wooden bow. It is tougher and usually has more power. It also takes a lot more practice and time. Archery bow making isn’t for everyone. Hell, you can go buy a bow for a couple of hundred bucks instead of sweating to make your own. Pre-made ones are usually better too, having been constructed by a corporation. But for people who enjoy a challenge, archery bow making can be a lot of fun, and a good way to pass the time. It might come in handy too, if you ever find yourself trapped in the wild. My name is Ted Lake and I m building a website in memory of my dad Deuaine Lake. This site is all about Archery and Archery Hunting. My dad started me when I was 5 years old (1956) and I ve continued to teach both my boys the same respect for the sport of archery. Please feel welcome to visit my free website at complete-archery-information.com .

Motorhome Winegard Satellite

The true joy of the motorhome experience is the blend of roughing it with the enjoyment of the comforts of home. With a motorhome Winegard Satellite receiver, your favorite show is part of the experience. The Winegard Sensar III Batwing motorhome antenna is the most popular motorhome antenna on the market today. It was first developed by the Winegard Company in the early 1970 s for use in motorhomes for reception of television signals. In recent years, Winegard has been a leader in technological advances that have brought not only television to motorhome users, but also full satellite TV reception. The Winegard Satellite systems use GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) technology to provide satellite TV reception to your motorhome both when parked and also when moving. The systems use the GPS to keep the antenna directed toward the nearest satellites when the motorhome is in motion providing reception to your passengers. The in motion satellite receivers are small domed units that fit easily on the top of the motorhome. The MV-2222 Winegard In Motion Satellite Reception system is the top of the line in this mobile technology. At a cost of just over two thousand dollars, it brings both Dish Network and Direct TV satellite semotorhomeice to your motorhome. The system is simple to operate with not much more than an on/off button. It has the ability to handle to separate signals at the same time, so that a family can be watching two shows on two different TV s at the same time. This is the ideal situation for the larger family. Although the GPS controlled in motion systems represent state of the art, there are a wide variety of other options for the motorhome owner. Winegard makes small dish type satellite receivers that can be mounted when the vehicle is parked. These antennas are relatively inexpensive and they are not difficult to mount and tune for satellite reception. In most cases, the only information that you need is the local Zip Code where you are parked to tune the antenna. The attraction of the motorhome experience for many people is the ability to bring the comforts of home on the road. Television plays an important role in informing and entertaining people in today s society and there is no reason to be without it while on the road in your motorhome. The Winegard Satellite antennas have recently entered the High Definition reception arena as well. Their product line should include the ideal system for your motorhome and your personal requirements. Find more information on RV rentals at RVRentalsforyou.com.

Why Is Teamwork Training Important?

Why Is Teamwork Training Important? “When teamwork kicks in, nobody can beat you.” Don Shula, Head Coach, Miami Dolphins Only NFL team to attain a perfect 17-0 season Whether it’s two people, a department, or an organization, teams are the means by which great things get done. Unfortunately, not all work groups exhibit teamwork. So, how can our groups develop that sense of community and cohesiveness, or what was Don Shula’s secret? When and how does teamwork kick in? The key is effective teamwork training. Our research and experience point to a need for managers to be both willing and able to build and maintain high performing teams. One key to regaining our competitiveness will be how successful managers are in creating the climate for teamwork to grow and develop. We believe it doesn’t just happen by accident. Teams work at building spirit and commitment. They talk about how they are doing. They are willing to invest time and money to protect and enhance the basic team fabric and integrity. In a team, people care about each other and are concerned about how their actions and attitudes affect each other. Managers report that they spend from fifty to ninety percent of their efforts on managing individuals. Yes, most managers have little or no knowledge of group dynamics. With CMOE’s teamwork training programs, you will discover the inner dimensions and facets of how groups become teams and how group dynamics can be managed. Observing groups at work adds clarity to the very subtle and often subliminal concept of teamwork. It is not magic and there is no secret; it can be explained and put into practice by any manager. Many of our teamwork training activities are instruments that allow participants to observe and unmask the common enemies of teamwork. It helps if we can see more clearly obstacles that all too frequently are created within a team. Team afflictions can be widespread, including: destructive and over-charged competitiveness, individualism, over-inflated egos, personal greed, and technology such as computers that drive us into ourselves and have the potential of isolating us so we can “do our own thing.” Seeing the impact of these afflictions on the quality of teamwork is the first step towards creating a more effective team. New Technology Makes Mobile Offices Fully Functional

One of the main benefits of newer technologies is mobility, and mobility means the ability to do work in more places. Since the invention of the lap top computer, there have been a steadily growing number of devices that allow people to work when and where they want to. Of course the laptop computer was the first. Even the most primitive ones could allow people to write and work with spreadsheets in the park or in the airport, as well as the doctor s office waiting room, at home, or even sitting in their cars. It didn t take too long for portable printers to come along that could go with the laptop computer. This really opened up the possibilities for professionals on the go. For example, portable printers meant that electricians, cable TV installers, and other service people could simply enter information into computers in their vehicles and then print out an invoice right then and there to hand to the client. This meant no messy handwriting, no long wait, and basically no problems when it came to accountability (and no surprises when a bill came later!). Of course, now we have a whole bunch of ways to get work done when we re away from the office. Today s laptop computers can keep in touch with the office and the rest of the world using WiFi hot spots and even G3 networks that can provide Internet access even miles away from a transmitter! These same types of technology have been shrunk into portable devices like the Blackberry and other so called Smart Phones that allow us to keep in touch and do work even in places that we probably shouldn t like the bathroom, little league games, the dinner table, PTA meetings, Bar Mitzvahs, Churches, playgrounds, weddings, and funerals. In effect, all of these different devices and types of technologies have combined to create offices that we can take with us wherever we go. There s always been one piece of office equipment that was missing though: the scanner. Scanners are great for archiving invoices, photos, and a wide variety of other documents. The main problem with bringing a scanner along with your laptop computer and your portable printer though is the fact that scanners are just so huge. Now there s an alternative in the form of a special kind of scanner that s basically a cylinder about as long at the width of a standard letter sized piece of paper. The scanner is completely self contained with a minimum of eight megabytes and a maximum of two hundred and fifty six megabytes of storage capacity. It comes with integrated controls that allow you to choose the resolution of the scan, and the more advanced model can even use text recognition software to convert scanned text into text that can be edited in a word processing program! Basically, the scanner scans a page simply by being rolled along the length of the page. Once the image is loaded into the scanner s memory, it can then be uploaded to a computer via USB connection. Now with this new type of technology, it s possible to have a complete office that s completely mobile! A leader in technology reporting, Julia Hall has published articles about the latest digital devices and gadgets for over ten years. After graduating from MIT with a degree in electrical engineering, Julia turned down huge salaries from some of the most recognized fortune 500 companies in the world to pursue his dream of becoming a leading consumer advocate. If you enjoy staying on the cutting edge of technology , whether for business or pleasure, but find yourself occasionally confused by the overwhelming information out there let Julia be your guide.

Tennis Clothes - A Revolution in Style

Tennis clothes have changed drastically in style, fabric, and color over the last 100 years. The first lawn tennis players in England wore formal attire when playing. Standard tennis clothes for women were full-length dresses. Men wore long pants and formal, long sleeve shirts. The tennis clothes of both men and women were entirely white in color. Contrast this formal style with the tennis clothes worn by the tennis players of today. Modern tennis players favor synthetic fabrics, more athletic clothing styles, and a greater variety of colors. The evolution of tennis clothes has mirrored the changes in everyday fashion. For example, male tennis players in the 1970’s and 1980’s favored short, tight-fitting shorts and traditional polo shirts. In the late 1990’s and 2000’s, male tennis players began to wear larger, looser shorts and more casual shirts. In addition, female tennis players of the 1970’s and 1980’s favored traditional tennis clothes with an updated style. Popular clothing included shortened tennis skirts and dresses. Today’s women tennis players wear a variety of tennis clothes, ranging from tennis skirts and dresses to shorts and t-shirts. While tennis players still wear white at more traditional clubs (e.g. Wimbledon), there is a much larger variety of colors in modern tennis clothes. Another factor contributing to the evolution of tennis clothes is the increased athleticism in the modern game. Tennis is now a high intensity sport, requiring tremendous physical effort and exertion. Tennis players must be able to run, cut, jump, and twist all while executing precise tennis strokes to hit a ball often moving at high speeds. Consequently, comfort is a major concern of players. Modern tennis players prefer tennis clothes that are lightweight, fit well, repel moisture, and are generally comfortable. Tennis clothes that keep the body cool and dry can help players counteract the physical toll that playing tennis, especially in hot weather, can exact. Advances in clothing technology have also contributed to the evolution of tennis clothes. For years, cotton was the fabric of choice for tennis clothes. In the last few years, however, many tennis apparel makers have introduced garments made of new, synthetic fibers. Tennis clothes made of these synthetic fibers help remove sweat from the skin and clothing by wicking moisture away from the body. Examples of these clothing technologies are Adidas’s ClimaCool brand and Nike’s Dri-FIT. Most professional tennis players and many recreational tennis players now wear tennis clothes made with these new technologies because they keep them cooler and drier than traditional tennis wear. In conclusion, tennis clothes have seen many changes over the years. While tennis clothes maintain some of their formality and traditional style, modern tennis players value comfort and individual style over tradition. Increased athleticism, advances in technology, and changes in general fashion have greatly affected the tennis clothing industry. In addition, breaking from their traditional roots, tennis clothes have become a medium for personal expression of individual style and important pieces of equipment in an increasingly physical sport. NASA Technology Used In e-Commerce?

NASA Technology Used In e-Commerce? NASA was established more than 50 years ago and has been a world leader in studies of our home planet. In October 2005 NASA decided to share their series of the stunning Blue Marble images. The satellite photos were divided into 12 calendar months and provided a detailed overview at an entire year in the life of our planet. Each image took up 10 Gigabytes of hard disk space. To be able to understand how much 10 Gigabytes really is, you can think of that each image consists of 5000 pictures taken with a typical digital camera. Two years later they are probably still the largest zoomable images ever seen on the Internet. Thanks to advanced zoom technology it is possible for NASA to manage and study our earth by images using any Internet connection. During the recent years it has become possible to buy expensive products over the Internet. You can buy everything from clothes, cars to expensive furniture. Unfortunately you still have to make a decision for the product based on one or a few images - often in poor quality. Several studies have shown that the most significant barrier in modern e-commerce is the lack of quality product images - more specific the lack of sufficient image details or resolution. Customers can t \"experience and feel\" the products in the same way as they were holding them. The explanation is that high quality images take up a lot of disk space and increase the download time. It is inappropriate to let Internet users wait several seconds for a high quality image each time the user is viewing a product. Another barrier is the increasing use of mobile devices like PDAs and mobile phones. It is still too hard making a decision for a product on a 240 x 320 pixel display on a mobile phone if the product image is 1680 x 1050 pixels. But how can it be possible to zoom even large images like NASA s 10Gb satellite images by use of an Internet Connection while webmasters are struggling to limit sizes of their web images? By combining and re-scaling existing technologies for other purposes and goals, it has become possible to see and almost feel tiny details of any e-Commerce product in the same way as you can study every detail of even large satellite images. E-Consultant Sonja Jacobsen explains the controversial mix of NASA technology and existing web technology \"as a way to move forward in a competitive market\" and \"almost all e-shops will be able to present their products with zoomable pictures within 2-3 years with similar technologies\". In co-operation with the Danish inventor YaWah ApS, MICAH-CO invites you to see the result of combining this complex zoom server technology used by NASA with a simple shoe product. micah-co.com/en/erez-imaging-server/features/web-examples/3d-viewer.html

QuickBooks and Vista - Not All Versions Of QuickBooks Are Compatible With Vista

QuickBooks users need to understand Vista’s compatibility with QuickBooks, because not all versions of QuickBooks are compatible with Vista. Only QuickBooks 2007, and newer versions, are compatible with Vista. Intuit announced on October 16, 2007, that it is investigating third-party workarounds for QuickBooks users who are using older versions of QuickBooks. However, no other details were given. This means that any version of QuickBooks prior to 2007 will not be compatible with Vista. This has to do with the new Vista security features. Be Careful About Upgrading to Vista For those wishing to upgrade to Vista, they will be forced to upgrade to QuickBooks 2007 (or later versions). For those running versions of QuickBooks older than 2007, they should not upgrade to Vista if they don’t want to also upgrade to QuickBooks 2007. Users of QuickBooks 2007 have a choice: they may upgrade to Vista, or they may stay with their current operating system, as QuickBooks 2007 is compatible with both. At some point, QuickBooks users will need to be aware when purchasing any new software for their computers. If a product is for Vista only, this forces the user to make a decision: keep the product, and upgrade to Vista and to QuickBooks 2007 (and possibly upgrade other software products as well), or don’t keep the product and don’t upgrade. The Vista operating system is an overhaul of previous Microsoft operating systems. It’s a completely new system, and not an upgrade to Windows XP. Vista Tidbits Vista sports a brand new graphical interface Vista users must verify if their software is genuine within 30 days of activating it, or else key features will be stopped. Vista will have a new email client: Windows Mail. This will replace Outlook Express. Vista is more energy efficient than previous Microsoft operating systems Vista is more secure than previous Microsoft operating systems About the Author: Jennifer A. Discount Laptops Guide - How To Find Discount Laptops Online

You should not have to pay those overly expensive prices for a new laptop, especially when there are discount laptops that you can buy. Few people know about the fact that anyone can buy discount laptops, and this is something most laptop companies will not talk about. Companies and stores selling laptops want people to pay the most expensive prices for laptops available, even though there is no need for you to do so. I will tell you in this article how to find discount laptops and I also provide a link at the end of this article to a trustworthy site where you can buy discount laptops. Find discount laptops by looking for overstock When companies have more of a product than they can sell, it is overstock. Overstocking often occurs when not enough customers are buying a product for the store to make a profit. The overstocking of a product also occurs when a store buys a product, and then a new model for the product is put on the market. So in order for the store to keep up with their competitors, the store then also buy the new models. This all leads to the store overstocking the products, and so in order to break-even the store sells the overstocked products at a significantly lower price than originally. Refurbished laptops are also discount laptops When a product is refurbished it is restored back into a \"brand new\" condition. Majority of the time refurbished products are actual up-to-date products on the market that needed a little fixing, cleaning, or rid of any defects. The \"brand new\" refurbished product is repackaged by the manufacturer or a professional company and given a new warranty. Stores will sell refurbished products significantly lower than the original price. If you are wondering why stores sell refurbished products at a lower price, the answer simply is because it would be illegal to sell it at the original price. Checking out less-known brands is also a way to find discount laptops I know some people may be a little hesitant about buying less-known brands, but many also sell quality discount laptops. A lot of the time when you buy laptops from famous brands, you are paying more money really for the famous name. Famous and less-known laptops brands often do not actually create what is inside the laptop, but instead buy pieces from the same manufactures and simply put together the laptop parts. Modern And Traditional Archery

With a history characterized by hunting and combat techniques, archery is the practice of using a piece of equipment called a bow to shoot arrows at a target. Throughout the years, it has become a sport of precision, leading to numerous competitions, as well as a spot in the Olympics. The title given to a person who is an expert in the practice is an archer. For some, archery is like an intense game of darts that involves more equipment, as well as increased physical skill. Modern vs. Traditional Archery The start of archery is thought to have emerged about 5,000 years ago. The first use of the bow was probably used for hunting, while its recognition as a tool for war came later. In ancient times, early man threw projectiles at their enemies. It is the bow that replaced this technique. There are many different types of archery that has evolved from traditional archery. Classical archery was prominent among the Macedonians, Greeks, Persians and Indians, which often took up a large part of their armies. When directed effectively, masses of soldiers could be taken out with precision. Advanced armies took archery to horseback, allowing a swift execution of war plans. In Medieval European times, archery was used in times of war, but was not as popular as you may think. On the contrary, archers received the lowest pay and were often looked down upon. Since it didn’t take much to fashion a bow and arrow, this contributed to the negative perceptions of the archers. It was viewed as a weapon for the lower class. Asia and the Middle West used archers on horseback in their military force. In the Kingdom of Bhutan, archery is the national sport of the land. One of the differences in Asian arrows is they are less stiff than the arrows from the west. Today, competitive archery is popular, significantly straying from the traditional archery of the past. The use of archery as a form of warfare has been discarded and mostly only hobbyists hunt with a bow and arrow. Modern archery involves competition. Competitive archery consists of shooting arrows for accuracy points from varying distances, quite popular in Europe and North America. Both indoor and outdoor venues hold archery competitions with different rules. For example, there are varying time limits. Indoor competition allows only 2 minutes to shoot 3 arrows. Archery equipment demands special attention to safety rules and use. You must receive proper instruction on how to hold a bow and shoot an arrow so that you do not hurt yourself or others. Modern Archery Competitions The color of the archery board for competition is white, black, blue, red and gold. There are two rings each per color with corresponding point values. The end score of a competition is computed by adding the total of all scores made by their arrows. If an arrow lands on the line between two different point values, the higher sum will be granted. Despite these rules, there are still disputes that call for the assistance of a judge. There are many different types of bow shapes and sizes. During competition, the only type of bow that can be used in the Olympic games is called a re-curve bow. When you are ready to further your interest in archery, there are plenty of other details to take note of. For example, archers in competition often wear bracers that protect the arm. Tabs protect the drawing hand. Chest-guards protect clothing, as well as the body of the archer. All of these things, coupled with the archer’s stance, hand-eye coordination, release form and grip will all contribute to either the success or failure of an archery competition.
